Residential Counselors – Weekend Openings
Are you interested in a position that will make a difference in your life and the lives of others? Community Teamwork is a private non-profit organization with over 500 employees dedicated to reducing barriers and creating opportunities for low income individuals and families.
We have multiple openings for individuals to work in our Shelter Staff program. Residential Counselors are responsible for working closely with families in a congregate emergency residential shelter site, to provide life skills support to all families and family members who are staying at the shelter. This position also provides oversight of site operations which include enforcing safety measures, program rules, and evening expectations using a trauma informed and client centered approach. Other responsibilities include: assisting with screening, intake activities and orientation of new families into the shelter program; providing guidance and information to clients regarding the daily activity schedule, house rules and policies; overseeing security and safety; completing housekeeping duties; ensuring family daily chores are completed; providing emergency crisis management to families.
