Facilities Property Operations Assistant - Entry Level

We are seeking an Entry Level Facilities Property Operations Assistant  who will be responsible for maintaining the everyday functions of shelter units in an Emergency Shelter setting. Hands on training will be provided to the driven candidate that can multitask and has the willingness to learn and make a difference in people’s lives. 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Occasional evenings and/weekend if needed.


Responsibilities include:

  • This role requires lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Review, track, follow up and maintain work orders for shelter sites.
  • Working with outside vendors for shelter unit turnover.
  • Working closely with property owners.
  • Maintaining safety of all sites.
  • Perform monthly and annual inspections.
  • Sorting and distributing donations.
  • Working closely with Community Teamwork’s Facility department.
  • Monitor supplies and inventory for EA shelter units.
  • Monitor donations, furniture, and other household goods through regular inventory and tracking systems.
  • Integrate a DE&I lens in all activities, encourage colleagues to engage in DE&I work, and contribute to our mission of building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for our employees, clients, and partners; requires ongoing investment in a personal and professional journey to understand identity and address unconscious bias, power, and privilege

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to efficiently multitask.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse and at-risk families.
  • Bilingual skills English/Khmer or English/Spanish preferred.
  • Some familiarity with sanitary codes is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTI’s clientele.
