Compliance Specialist

Department: C&FS Education
Location: Lowell, MA

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring enrolled Early Learning children are in compliance with state and federal regulations regarding medical documentation and the electronic file.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Ensure child health documentation is maintained to comply with Office of Head Start/EEC mandates
  2. Maintain childís electronic file through the ChildPlus database
  3. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
  4. Review ChildPlus health reports weekly/monthly and provide data to Lead Family Service Worker.
  5. Complete quarterly electronic file reviews to ensure compliance with Office of Head Start/EEC mandates.
  6. Integrate a DE&I lens in all activities, encourage colleagues to engage in DE&I work, and contribute to our mission of building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for our employees, clients, and partners; requires ongoing investment in a personal and professional journey to understand identity and address unconscious bias, power, and privilege.
  7. Complete and maintain EEC Child File Checklists
  8. Provide electronic file review report quarterly to Center Director and Lead Family Service Worker.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree, Bachelors preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience working with state and federal regulations with EEC information and regulations.
  • Strong proven leadership and decision making abilities.
  • Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
  • Excellent Customer Service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTIís clientele
  • Must show evidence of full Covid 19 immunization or an approved medical or religious accommodation approved prior to hire date. 
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Khmer) are a plus.
