Starting Pay $18.00 per hour

We are seeking a Client Assessment Specialist who will be a member of CTI Client Assessment Team. Provides training, general information and streamlined access to the full range of CTI programming and referrals to community partners. The Client Assessment Specialist is expected to provide exceptional customer service to clients as they are our front line, initial point of contact for the clients that we serve.

Responsibilities Include:

Complete the Agency Pre-Assessment and appropriate referrals for all clients. Also responsible for completing the Client Orientation Survey.

Provide orientation sessions to new clients.

Perform customer service training to various entities including CTI Staff throughout the Agency, Case managers, local Physicians, etc.

Work with clients who do not meet the criteria for any programs in the HCEC and connect them to the appropriate resources.

Connecting families to emergency services who have been involuntarily displaced due to fire or other disaster.

Follow up with clients periodically.

Complete all appropriate reports, enter information into database and maintain updated records on clients served.

Provide Translation assistance when appropriate.

Perform outreach to local community to provide education regarding CTI programs.

Serve as an information resource for CTI Staff regarding resources available to clients.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Associate’s Degree in related field such as Human Services preferred.
  • 3- 5 years of experience working with low-income diverse population with client service experience required.
  • Familiarity with a strengths-based approach to case management.
  • Good working knowledge of community resources.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of low income families.
  • Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low-income individuals and families.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems.
  • Excellent crisis management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTI’s clientele.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Khmer, English/Portuguese) preferred.
